Arte Limosnero: a work in motion
Art has always been, at its core, a way of coming together. With “Arte Limosnero,” Santi Flores presents a new artistic proposal that draws on an almost forgotten tradition, transforming it into a contemporary experience based on human connection, itinerancy, and shared emotion.

A tradition reinterpreted
The project is inspired by old household chapels, also known as limosnero chapels. These small religious structures traveled from house to house within a community, carrying devotional images inside and creating moments of connection between people.
Drawing on this tradition, Santi Flores adopts its aesthetic and symbolic essence, moving away from its religious dimension to focus on the social gesture that defined it: the act of sharing. The chapel ceases to be merely an object and becomes a means of connection between individuals.

The creation of the chapels
The first phase of the project, which has now been completed, involved creating a series of original chapels designed by the artist. Inside, each piece houses artistic expressions in the form of painting and sculpture that reflect Santi Flores’s signature style, characterized by its conceptual and emotional dimension.
These works are not intended to be static pieces, but rather living structures that gain meaning through the journeys they take and the stories they inspire along the way.
An open social experiment
With the creation of the chapels, the second phase of the project now begins: a social experiment whose development and outcome are, by definition, uncertain. The works will be given free of charge to people who wish to participate in the experience, on a single condition: they must immortalize the moment of handover with a photograph shared on social media.
Each participant will keep the Arte Limosnero for approximately one month before passing it on to another person of their choice. This process will continue for one year, building a chain of human connections in which art serves as the bond.
Where will the works end up after that time?
What stories will emerge with each handover?
Will they provide an opportunity to reconnect, strengthen bonds, or forge new personal and professional relationships?
These questions are an essential part of the proposal, which is conceived as an open-ended work in which the journey is just as important as the artwork itself.

The journey begins
To launch the circulation of the first pieces, a series of 18 works, the artist will hold an event in his studio. There, the chapels will be awarded to attendees interested in taking part in the project, marking the start of a collective journey in which art leaves the traditional exhibition space to become part of everyday life.
Arte Limosnero does not seek definitive answers, but rather to spark experiences. A work that is transformed by each person, each photograph, and each shared story, reminding us that art can exist beyond the object and become a gesture of connection between individuals.
