SOLITUD | Rome is a large-format contemporary wall artwork by Santi Flores combining urban narrative, spatial perspective and a strong sense of collective movement.

Its cinematic depth and dynamic composition draw the eye through multiple layers, creating a work that feels both architectural and human. At 252 cm wide, it is designed to command space while retaining the complexity and intimacy of a hand-made artwork.

Part of the SOLITUD series, Rome explores how individuals occupy, cross and share the spaces of the contemporary city.

Detailed description: Solitude – Rome introduces a powerful sense of spatial perspective into the SOLITUDE series.

Unlike other works in the collection, this piece constructs a central vanishing point that immerses the viewer in the composition. Figures populate elevated structures on both sides, creating the sensation of an urban corridor: a metaphorical street framed by human presence.

The red tonal atmosphere dominates the upper register, evoking intensity, urgency, and emotional saturation. Below, darker textures and striated surfaces suggest erosion, instability, and the passage of time. The contrast between the structured figures and the turbulent terrain reinforces the tension between order and fragmentation.

Each simplified human silhouette inhabits a cubic structure, suspended in a shared space, yet separated by invisible boundaries. The architectural geometry evokes collective life, while the perspective amplifies the distance.

Created in rolled steel and enamel with cast shadows, Solitude – Rome expands beyond the surface, connecting both the image and spatial depth. The piece becomes a reflection on modern existence: moving through crowded structures, yet walking alone within them.
