Permanent installation of a group of sculptures
Albacete, Spain
A return to one's roots
Some projects are born from travel, while others emerge from the place to which one always returns. The permanent installation of this sculptural group in Albacete represents a profound bond between Santi Flores and his city. It is not merely a public artwork; it is an intimate conversation with the streets that form part of his personal and creative history.
Located in the urban environment next to the Posada del Rosario, the sculptures appear as silent presences that accompany the daily rhythm of the historic center. Here, art is not contemplated from a distance, but rather intersects with the daily lives of those who walk, meet, and inhabit the space.

Three figures, a single narrative
The ensemble consists of three vertical sculptures that engage in a dialogue with one another. Each piece retains its individual identity, but together they create a balanced composition that transforms the site into a contemporary meeting place.
The decision to complete the group with a third sculpture—provided by the artist himself—reflects a clear vision: to create a collective presence that represents the relationship between the individual and the community. The figures rise as open symbols, connecting human gesture with urban architecture.
Industrial material, human emotion
Crafted from stainless steel and enamel, the pieces reflect the city's changing light and transform industrial material into an emotional language. The verticality and stylized forms, characteristic of Santi Flores's visual universe, introduce a sense of movement and lightness that contrasts with the solidity of the steel.
The historic setting thus becomes a living stage where tradition and contemporaneity coexist. The sculptures do not interrupt the space: they activate it, reinterpret it, and fill it with new meanings.

A commission with personal meaning
This project holds a special place in the artist's career. Commissioned by his own city and located near his roots, it represents a way of giving back to the public space a part of his creative journey.
Beyond the institutional gesture, the installation speaks of belonging. It is a work born from personal memory and open to the community, inviting citizens to make it their own as part of their everyday landscape.
Sculpture as a meeting place
Far from serving as a static monument, the sculptural group becomes a place of passage and pause. The figures accompany urban movement and transform the pedestrian experience, offering a different perspective on the city.
In this project, art integrates naturally into daily life, reminding us that sculptures do not merely occupy space: they create bonds. They remain as witnesses to the constant movement of Albacete, connecting the past, present, and community through a silent yet profoundly human presence.
